    • To deposit into a Checking account – your account number is an 11-digit number and is the listed second set of numbers printed on your checks. (Do not confuse this with your “Member number”).
    • To deposit into your Savings account – your account number is your Member number + Share ID number. (Your Share ID is a 4-digit number listed on your monthly statement. If you cannot locate the number, please call Account Servicing at 724-284-2020 during regular business hours).

1. Your Employer

Armco CU membership is offered to any active employee, retiree, widow or widower of one our Sponsor Organizations. To become a sponsor organization contact marketing@ArmcoCU.com. There is no-cost and no-obligation for your business.

Also eligible for membership are immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent or grandchild) of a current or potential Armco CU member, as well as persons living within the same residence and maintaining a single economic unit with a current Armco CU member or eligible member.  Former Armco CU members are always welcome to rejoin.

Membership is open to those who live, work, worship or attend school in Corry, PA as well as portions of Crawford County, Erie County, Forest County and Warren County. Contact our Corry branch for details.

2026 Candidate Information


Board of Directors

(3 to be elected for a full term, expiring April, 2029)

David R. Bacher (incumbent) - David is a Certified Public Accountant and sole member of Bacher & Associates LLC in Butler. He received a B.S. Degree in Accounting in 1999 from Slippery Rock University. Along with public accounting, he has experience in public and governmental auditing. He has served as Treasurer for other non-profit entities, including Hope Lutheran Church and the Reserve Officer Association, while serving as Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He has also served as Treasurer for the Seneca Valley Junior Football Association and Seneca Valley Football Boosters. He currently serves on Armco CU's Board of Directors as the Secretary/Treasurer and is also on the Asset Liability Management Committee. David hopes to continue in his capacity on the Board in making valuable contributions for the good of members and community.

John D. Gibson, Jr. (incumbent) - John retired from Armco/AK Steel in 2005 after 30 years of service. He worked in Hot Mill Maintenance, the Ironworker Shop and Maintenance Planning. He served on both the Hot Mill Corrective Action Team and the Q+ Advisory Board. John has been a lifelong Butler resident. He is the past president of the Advisory Board at Butler Catholic School and is a past member of the Building & Property Committee. He is a former affiliate of the Butler County Family YMCA, having served on their Board of Directors, Chairperson of the ARMCO Park Board of Managers and a Building and Property Committee member. He is currently on the Board of Trustees at the Butler County Family YMCA. He has been a member of Armco Credit Union since 1974 and feels the Credit Union has been a tremendous asset and comfort to his family over the years. He is a third-generation credit union member and now his children and grandchildren are fourth and fifth generation members. He has served on the Credit Union Board of Directors for the past twelve years, currently as President. He is devoting all his time to Armco Credit Union as the consultant for the renovation of the Main Branch. John is honored to represent our members, values the relationships he has formed with the Credit Union employees, and feels the Butler area is extremely blessed to have this institution as part of its community.

Sarah McGarvey Rattigan (incumbent)  - Sarah is the Supply Chain Manager at JADCO Manufacturing, Inc. with a tenure of 18 years and counting. She received her B.S. Degree in International Business and Management from Penn State University where she also studied abroad at the University College Northampton in England. She earned her Graduate Certificate in 2012, and her Master's degree in 2018, both in Supply Chain Management from Penn State World Campus. She previously volunteered with Butler Catholic School, serving as the Concession Stand Director for the Butler Catholic School Athletic Association, where she managed volunteer schedules and coordinated supply purchases. She has been a member of the Armco Credit Union since childhood and worked as a summer intern in the credit union's Account Servicing Department from 2001-2003. Sarah has enjoyed serving on the board for the past six years and looks forward to the opportunity to continue representing the members and community for another term.

Adam R. Seger - Adam is an experienced employee benefits consultant with over 12 years of experience in the benefits and insurance industry. Over the course of his career, he has held a variety of roles at Davevic Benefit Consultants/Acrisure, including Benefit Consultant, Marketing Specialist, Director of TPA Administration and is currently an Operations Manager for Employee Benefits TPA and Technology Services. He specializes in helping businesses navigate the complexities of employee benefits programs. He is licensed in Health, Life and Annuity Insurance and holds the prestigious Registered Employee Benefits Consultant designation. His expertise and experience make him a trusted advisor to organizations seeking to improve their employee benefits programs. He is a 2014 graduate of Slippery Rock University with a degree in Marketing and minors in Accounting and Management. Adam believes that with over a decade in the business & consulting world, he could bring expertise to Armco Credit Union to help its continued growth.


 

Supervisory Committee

(1 to be elected for a full term, expiring April, 2029.)

Karl W. Cherry - Karl is currently the SVP of Member Experience at Trellance. He has more than 35 years of financial technology experience, including working for two credit union service organizations and a credit union cooperative. He has a B.S. Degree in Computer Science from IUP and a Master's Degree in Education from Duquesne University. He has volunteered on the Leadership Indian Guides/Princess at the YMCA, as well as held the Treasurer position from 2000 - 2013 and currently serves as President at the Ridgeview Park Association. He brings a strong commitment to member care, client support, and operational integrity. He believes his background leading teams, supporting clients through complex processes, and partnering closely with both internal and external audit groups would give him the practical insight and steady judgment needed to help ensure Armco Credit Union's financial affairs remain accurate and transparent. Karl is motivated to serve in a role that protects members' interests and strengthens the trusted relationship they have with Armco Credit Union.

Michael P. Morgus, Jr. - Michael works for The Ellwood Group Inc. as President of the Steelmaking Divisions and a member of the Board of Directors. He was an employee of Armco Steel and later Cleveland Cliffs in various leadership roles for 25 years before joining the Ellwood Group in 2011. He earned a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati, a Master's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. As a lifelong Butler resident and member of Armco Credit Union since 1990, he would like to support the Credit Union. Michael has experience in finance as the leader of a Steel Company and feels he can contribute with both his technical experience in analyzing financial situations as well as the leadership skills he has developed.


 

Credit Committee

(1 to be elected for a full term, expiring April, 2029)

Toni J. Tassey (incumbent) - Toni retired from Armco/AK Steel in 2004 as the Assistant Salary Payroll Specialist. She has been on the Credit Committee at the credit union since 1983, serving as chairperson since 1991. She was also employed at the credit union in the late 1970's as a Teller. She has volunteered her time at many other organizations around Butler, serving in a variety of capacities in the Armco Women's Club, Butler Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Butler Dog Training Association, and in October 2004, graduated from Romani's Pet Grooming School. She is currently working for Primary Care Associates of Butler as their Receptionist. Toni feels continuing to serve on this committee is a way she can give something back to the Credit Union and the community.
