2026 Scholarship Program
Armco CU is proud to award $20,000 in scholarships this year to help members take the next step toward their education and career goals. Twenty students will receive a $1,000 scholarship. We are not yet accepting applications but the guidelines are listed below. The application will be posted to this page and available for download in January, but you can start working on your resume now.
Eligibility Requirements
- Student must be bound for full-time enrollment at an accredited college/university or trade school where additional expenses are accrued in Fall 2026.
- Be an incoming freshman student of the upcoming 2026-2027 class.
- Must have been an Armco Credit Union member, or have a parent or legal guardian who is a member, as of Dec. 31, 2025.
- Be a member in good standing.
- Have a GPA of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)
Note: Scholarships are independently scored and ranked.

Official transcripts from your school are not required. A photocopy is acceptable.
Applications must be received
by Friday, Feb. 27, 2026.

History
2026 is the eighth year of the Armco Credit Union Scholarship program! Armco Credit Union has awarded over $150,000 in scholarships since its inception.
Promoting education and supporting the financial wellness of our members has long been a tradition at Armco Credit Union. The Armco CU Scholarship program began in 2018 to give back to our members and help students with rising educational costs. The scholarship amount has steadily increased from $5,000 in 2018 to $20,000 in 2026.
The Armco CU staff and Board of Directors continually fine-tune the program. They feel strongly that the application process should be simple and beneficial to the student. Therefore, the application is only one page and students submit a resume instead of writing a lengthy essay. Creating a resume provides real-life value to all students who apply and also provides fairness when scoring the application packets.
